The range of wines
of Domaines Mousset
Châteauneuf-du-Pape
AOC Châteauneuf du Pape of family Mousset are red and white wines, varying according to the original encépagement of the plots exploited. These wines are also processed and aged differently, according to the choices of each. This range allows to discover the richness of Châteauneuf du Pape terroir during the tasting of an interesting range of Châteauneuf du Pape wines.
Côtes du Rhône
Les Caves du Château des Fines Roches is also a production of red and rosé Côtes du Rhône wines.
Our red Côtes du Rhône are the result of the blending of different grape varieties. The Grenache noir brings to the wines the fruity, the generous, the roundness and the silky tannins; the Syrah and the Mourvèdre, the elegance of the aromatic range, the color and the structure; the Cinsault, the fruit, the finesse and the freshness.
Our Côtes du Rhône rosé offers a delicate, very pale pink dress. The nose opens with intense aromas of apple and small red fruits, citrus like pink grapefruit, as well as floral notes. Round, fresh and salty, our rosé comes, like our red wines, from the blend of different grape varieties, here Grenache noir and Cinsault.
IGP vin de pays de Méditerranée
Les Caves du Château des Fines Roches is also a production in IGP Vins de Pays Méditerranée.
Our Red Mediterranean Local Wines PGI comes from the Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grape varieties. It has a ruby colour with violet reflections, a nose marked by aromas of ripe red fruits of raspberry or redcurrant style, spices and violet and a round and fruity mouth.
Our rosé PGI Méditerranée local wine is also made from the Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grape varieties. It will offer you a pale salmon pink dress with a nose dominated by sour red fruits, where are especially noticeable the redcurrant and raspberry. The mouth is lively and can become caressing and round.
Our PGI Vins de Pays Méditerranée white is made from the Sauvignon grape variety, dressed in a pale yellow colour with green, clear and brilliant reflections. The nose exudes aromas of white fruits and floral tips. At the tasting, the mouth is dense, round and lively, but also characterized by a great aromatic persistence.
Muscat de Beaumes de Venise
The Muscat de Beaumes in Venice is an AOC produced in the town of Beaumes in Venice. It is one of the two appellations providing natural sweet wine (VDN) from the vineyards of the Rhone Valley (with Rasteau).
It is a natural sweet wine, unique in the Rhone Valley because it is made exclusively from muscat petit-grain, spread on the terroir of the Dentelles de Montmirail massif.
Our olive oil
Our olive trees, mainly Verdale and Picholine varieties, are about 50 years old and the farm is labellised HEV. All means are used to obtain a 100% natural, extra virgin, unfiltered and centrifuged French olive oil.
The cultivation, pruning and harvesting are manual. Our olive oil is extracted in a traditional mill; pressing is done with vertical presses.
The olives are milled the old way, which preserves the quality of the fruit and allows to obtain a «pure olive juice», while other oils of great distribution are often derived from seeds.
The oil is then bottled at the domain in a traditional and manual way.
It is a producer olive oil, creamy, very fruity, intense and delicate, without bitterness. The discerning palates will find notes that are sometimes fine, sometimes fiery, revealing tastes of apple or sweet almond, lemon or artichoke.
Our selection of local provençal products
In the low Rhône Valley, we already are in Provence, and in Provence less than elsewhere, we wouldn't talk about wine without talking about food, pairing, to enjoy with a glass of white, red or rosé wine, still or sparkling, sweet or dry.
And at Domaines Mousset we do not deviate from the rule. Better! In our shop there is a delicatessen area reserved for a selection of local products from Provence.
